Contemporary human isn’t really honest with the world and him/herself. Sometimes people diligently wind fakeness and obscure reality. People trying so hard to make the exterior appear more attractive so sometimes they don’t even see (or choose not to see) reality under a bright prettiness. In Kazakhstan people are fond of a “kazakh barocco” and showing out. In our postsoviet reality people are choosing an impression, not the inner world. The fear of condemnation predominates in Kazakhstan. My work is basically a trash can, until a trigger-person appears near by. Due to motion indicator garbage can immediately transforms into magical gold glowing from inside box. As the reality hiding under the brightness. But as soon as the simulated and brilliant layer disappears, as soon as a person moves a few meters away, the trash can remains itself.
